Did you come up with the backstory of this one yourself, or was it the wonderfully deranged Sargent and/or Gasgione?

For those wondering what I'm talking about, the photo of the blonde next to the name "Alice Adams" is kinda-sorta supposed to be the black woman; either she asked her editor to fake her appearance to make it harder for the people she pisses off to find her, or the paper just plain screwed up and stuck a random model's pic on her first exposé.
